ABOUT WAI YAN HTUN
An university dropout who loves emerging and exponential technologies and passionate about changing the world with technology; lead the community and make an impact for the world. Co-founded a tech startup in Myanmar at the age of 18 and have become a Maker and robotics instructor at 360°ed. An innovative minded person who led the country’s robotics team to achieve 6th place in robotics olympics. I am seeking an opportunity to develop my talents and make a difference in my home country and the world.

ROBOTICS TECHNICIAN OF TEAM MYANMAR, FIRST GLOBAL ROBOTICS
CHALLENGE 2017, WASHINGTON D.C, USA
2017 July
Being selected as a technician for my country’s team was a great honor for a person of my age. Our team achieved 6th place among 163 teams around the world and ranked 1st place in Asia. This is something I am very proud of. I also met people from many robotics academies around world and keep the new contacts with them so that I can make a big impact for my country’s next steps.

Competed in Startup Challenge 2017 held at Phandeeyar Innovation lab, Won 1st Prize for Robotech Myanmar and received seed capital of $5,000. The company is moving forward into next stages. I am now a business partner for this company since I have a bigger vision

While attending university in Myanmar, as a Basketball Fan, I was unpleased by the fact that the university has no basketball pitch to play. There was no other way than to found a basketball committee and construct the pitch on my own. Finally it was built for our university. Now the committee has more than a hundred members and they are playing nicely on the pitch.

I learn something each day and call at least one of my friends to tell them what I’ve learned. Sharing is one of my best abilities. Now I am delivering a robotics course to the young stars at Maker360.

As I always stayed in the laboratory rather than sitting in the lecture rooms, one of my Professors found something in me and invited me to be part of his project, which was controlling wheelchairs with a biologic band. I constructed the hardware for this project which is now being prototyped as coming product.

Four days after I joined 360ed, I was assigned to lead a robotics class at their Art Camp along with the students from Hongyun Art School, California. Though we didn’t have much time to prepare, I managed to successfully let the students know how robotics can be in the palm of their hands.

Getting to know with YSI at the start of 2018, along with with Earthpreneurs Movement, I started Earthpreneurs Myanmar in February. With the community of 200+ dynamic members, I hosted several events, including "Sustainable Future 1.0". Currently preparing to host " Global Hackathon " in Myanmar, simultaneously happening in 22 countries across the globe.

I have been doing on AI and Machine Learning for months. I am implementing AI to my flying taxi concept.
